1,700 kilos of cocaine are seized on the coast of Chiapas

The Secretary of the Navy reported that they seized 1,700 kg of cocaine off the coast of Chiapas.

According to published information, the insurance was provided by the Secretary of the Navy through the Mexican Navy. The insurance is provided by members of the Sixteenth Naval Region based in the port of Chiapas.

The incident occurred during a security operation. Among the items seized were 1,744 brick-shaped packages weighing approximately 1,700 (one thousand seven hundred) kilograms of suspected cocaine.

The drug was transported in a small boat with 2 outboard motors, in which 8 members of the criminal group were mobilized.
