A balance of eight people dead and seven more injured was what left the overturn of a combi-type unit
The incident occurred at kilometer 42 + 800 of the Arco Norte highway, near the town of San Lorenzo Octeyuco, in the municipality of Jilotepec, State of Mexico. A combi-type unit in which 16 people were traveling, as well as a tractor-trailer, were involved in the mishap.
According to reports from the emergency services, it was motorists traveling on the road who alerted the telephone number 911, so that paramedics could come to provide care to those affected.
Civil Protection personnel from Jilotepec, Chapa de Mota and Soyaniquilpan arrived at the site, as well as from the Red Cross who provided support to the injured who were transferred to the Jilotepec hospital.
