The President of the Mexican Republic Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) spoke on the subject of intoxicated minors in Bochil, Chiapas, a thorough investigation is what is needed, he said that he will meet with the Governor of Chiapas, Rutilio Escandón .
“It is, as well as very special the matter. We sent for a thorough investigation. It is headed by Rosa Icela and we are going to go there, well, today I am going to see the governor, yes I am going to ask him to see. They are closer, they have more elements.”
From the National Palace, AMLO pointed out that there is still no verdict on the intoxicated students, but there are two versions presented.
“One is that they carried water with cocaine in thermoses, another version that those who sold cocaine found out that there was going to be a check of backpacks and they all informed, they threw their pills into the water tank.”
However, López Obrador stressed that he will be informed and “we are going to make the truth known, whatever it may be.”
On Friday, October 7, it was reported that students from the Juana de Asbaje secondary school, in Bochil, Chiapas, were intoxicated with cocaine, which was allegedly supplied to them within the basic education campus.
The testimonies confirm that the students began to feel bad after eating in the cafeteria; while others say that the whole group got intoxicated by drinking water from the jug; and others mention that they ate chocolate cakes allegedly made with marijuana.
