A 4-year-old minor drowned in the Grutas de Tolantongo spa, located in the Cardonal municipality, in the Valle del Mezquital region of the state of Hidalgo.
According to the reports, a woman identified as Diana “N, mother of the minor, was desperately screaming for help so that they would help her since her son was drowning in the river of said spa.
At the scene, workers from the aquatic center immediately called the emergency numbers requesting support.
Upon arrival, the Civil Protection elements of the Municipality tried to give first aid to the little boy, originally from the state of Guanajuato, who finally lost his life.
Elements of the municipal police gave part to the public ministry for the corresponding investigations.
