Elements of the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) of the Mexico Citymade the arrest of five extortionistsafter receiving a complaint from a citizen, who pointed them out for having asked him for money in exchange for not physically assaulting him.
It was during patrols on Ignacio Zaragoza roadin the mayor’s office Iztapalapawhen they answered the call of a 35-year-old man, dedicated to buying and selling vehicles, who informed the police about two people who had threatened him.
For this reason, uniformed men went to Cedros Street, where the alleged extortionists were located, who were talking with a subject on a motorcycle handling what appeared to be a firearm.

Noticing the police presence, he began to behave suspiciously, so they asked him to get off the motorcycle and lower the weapon, while another vehicle approached the site, which, realizing the facts, began to flee.
Agents of the SSC began a chase during which a subject aboard the unit he detonated his firearm against the uniformed men who repelled the aggression and minutes later the suspicious unit crashed meters ahead.
After the two events five extortionists were arrestedidentified as williamss “L”, Carlos “M”, Savior Arthur “G”, Angel Albert “R” and Christopher Alexis “G”, in possession of two supplied firearms, 15 thousand pesos in cash and five cell phones. Those involved were arrested and transferred, along with the vehicles, money and objects seized before the corresponding Public Ministry agent who will determine their legal situation.
It should be noted that as a result of the investigations, authorities learned that those now detained they pretended to be members of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), for threaten and demand fees from merchants in that demarcation.
