The General Jose Silvestre Urzua Padilla, National Guard coordinator (GN) in the state of zacatecas, died after an armed confrontation in communities of Pine trees, zacatecas.
in said confrontationat least 10 people ended up injuredamong them three elements of the GN and two of the Investigative Police (POI) among whom were the General who has already died.
The confrontation lasted around five hours in which it was said that agents of the three levels of government arrived at the Municipal Command since it was besieged.
The armed aggression began around 10 a.m. and ended until 3:50 p.m., in the Stony communities, jaltomate Y Carmen.
The violent day began after a security operation to search, search and locate targets was installed in said municipality.
Therefore, state and federal security agents had to arrive in the area in the operational commanded by the Department of Public Security (SSP) and the Investigation police.
They also detained security elements for questioning as they were suspected of having ties to a leader of criminal groups.
Therefore, they are conducting an investigation into alleged false policemen who operated from the headquarters.
These alleged elements had uniforms, including patrol cars, one of which was seized.
“Cuervo”, the helicopter of the Ministry of Public Security (SSP) had to transfer the injured people to receive medical attention.
Among the wounded was the General Jose Silvestrewho lost his life while being treated at a state hospital.
However, it was noted that armed confrontations between police officers and suspected criminals continued after 3:40 p.m.
