A former head of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) was assassinated in Mexico City this Tuesday afternoon.

The deceased was listed as…narcoterrorist– by the Colombian media and there were arrest warrants against him for attempted extortion and rebellion.
He was credited with organizing militias in the municipalities of Arauquita and La Victoriain order to carry out attacks against military units.
In 2001 he was arrested with 60 kilograms of explosives, with which he presumably intended to carry out terrorist attacks in the urban case of Arauca. He spent three years in prison but was later released.
