I was wondering if anyone has had this same issue and possibly knows how to stop it. I am naturally quite pale but usually self tan. When I am tan I use a darker shade of foundation (NARS Stromboli for shade reference) and my foundation always sits flawlessly. Recently I have been trying to embrace my naturally pale skin more but no matter what brand (high end, drug store) I use the paler shades of foundation end up clinging to the slightest dry patch around my cheeks and chin, and separating completely around my nose and forehead.
My skin care routine does not change – I use hyaluronic acid, bha, a decent moisturiser and an overnight retinol. I always use a primer and have recently been spot priming with hydrating/mattifying primers to match the affected areas.
Would love to know if anyone has experienced the same thing or has any ideas how to stop it from happening. Thank you!
