The former Secretary of Public Security of Guerrero, Leonardo Octavio Vazquez Perez, was arrested for the Ayotzinapa case.
Sources from the federal security cabinet reported that Vázquez Pérez, who was the command of the SSP of Guerrero when the registered disappearance of the 43 normalistason September 26 and 27, 2014, was stopped on Friday in the state of Nayarit by agents of the General Prosecutor of the Republic (FGR).
He is accused of organized crime for alleged links with the Guerreros Unidos criminal groupinvolved in the Ayotzinapa case.
The arrest of Vázquez Pérez is derived from the 83 arrest warrants that were issued in August of this year, at the request of the Attorney General of the Republic for the crimes of organized crime, forced disappearance, torture, homicide and crimes against the administration of justice in the Ayotzinapa case.
And in September it was announced that the police command was being targeted by the FGR, as was the former Attorney General of Guerrero, Iñaki Blanco; and the former president of the Superior Court of Justice of Guerrero, Lambertina Galeana Marín.
