The person in charge of PEMEX pipes in Oaxaca is shot to death



This Wednesday morning aboard a truck, 50-year-old Adriana “N” was killed in the Tehuantepec Isthmus region.

The victim, who died as a result of the attack, was identified as the owner of a tanker truck that transports hydrocarbons in the port of Salina Cruz.

The Ford truck with license plates TMJ2937 from the state of Oaxaca was left on the La Refinería road, an area with a lot of vehicular movement since it connects with the “Antonio Dovalí Jaime” Refinery of Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex).

The elements of the State Investigation Agency, attached to the Attorney General of the State of Oaxaca (FGEO), were presented to the place to carry out the first steps.

Adriana is the 33rd woman who has been murdered in the Isthmus of Tehuantepec region during this 2022, according to the monitoring of the Documentation Center of the “Rosario Castellanos” Women’s Study Group (GESMujer).

According to these records, the Isthmus of Tehuantepec continues to lead the list at the state level among the regions with the highest number of murders of women with 33, followed by the Coast region with 31 and Central Valleys with 16. In total, in the entity they have murdered this year 114 women between January and October 5 last.

Regarding the six-year term that is about to end, from December 1, 2016 to October 5, 2022, 696 women have been murdered.

The Isthmus accumulates 159, Central Valleys 147; the Coast 122; Papaloapan Basin 87; Mixtec 81; Sierra South 51; Sierra Norte 26 and Cañada 23.
