A man died after being run over by a driver that witnesses classify as reckless, as he himself fled.
The driver’s victim was on Av. Aquiles Serdán esq. Ignacio Zaragoza in Col. Tulyehualco when he was hit by the vehicle.
After being run over, the man was thrown against the pavement repeatedly hitting his body on the floor, where he lay unconscious, while the driver fled at full speed without stopping to check on the victim’s state of health.
Witnesses called the 911 emergency number for help while trying to help the unresponsive man.
Members of the Secretary of Citizen Security (SSC) and an ambulance arrived at the scene, so paramedics immediately provided pre-hospital services but could do nothing, since he died almost instantly due to the blows he suffered.
The area was cordoned off while experts from the capital’s Attorney General’s Office carried out the proceedings, and then transferred the body to the corresponding territorial coordination where family members are expected to come to identify it.
