The Secretary of National Defense informs that in order to avoid damages to National Security and within the framework of the National Strategy for Public Security, as well as the Zero Impunity policy of the federal government, on September 30 of this year, personnel from the The Mexican Army, the State Attorney General’s Office and the Baja California State Police completed a technical investigation order in the municipality of Tijuana, BC, seizing drugs, a vehicle and a property.
Personnel from the Mexican Army, after supporting the State Police on September 26, 2022 to transfer a detainee, a vehicle and alleged drug seized in the Magisterial neighborhood of the municipality of Tijuana, BC, carried out a reconnaissance in the vicinity of said place, noticing that inside a property there were several packages with characteristics similar to the drug previously seized by the State Police, for which he requested a technical investigation order from the State Attorney General’s Office.
The Mexican Army provided peripheral security to the property so that the aforementioned Prosecutor’s Office and the State Police carried out the corresponding procedures on September 30, 2022, ensuring the following:
- 785 kg of possible methamphetamine.
- 1 vehicle.
- 1 property.
The insured was made available to the competent authorities, who will carry out the expert confirmation of the type and amount of drug.
These activities were carried out in strict adherence to the rule of law and with full respect for human rights, thus preventing this type of substance from affecting the health and comprehensive development of Mexican youth.
With these actions, the Mexican Army endorses its commitment to ensure and safeguard the well-being of citizens, contributing to the Mexican government to guarantee the peace and security of the population.
