Tire hits motorcyclist and dies



The detachment of a tire from a car killed a motorcyclist this Friday when both were driving on the Circuito Exterior Mexiquense (CEM).

The accident was recorded at kilometer 30+500, in the vicinity of the Hydraulic Resources neighborhood, at the height of the municipality of Ecatepec.

According to security reports, the victim was traveling in the direction of Ecatepec when she was hit by a tire that came off a car.

The vehicle involved, black in color, was driving towards Nezahualcóyotl but at some point its front tire came off and crossed into the opposite lane, hitting the motorcyclist.

“Meters behind, he loses a front tire on the left side, it is projected in the direction of the South-North lane, hitting the motorcycle driver in the head, for which he is presumed to lose his life,” reports said.

The deceased was identified as Edgar Canseco Hernández, alleged escort and who was wearing blue jeans, a black jacket with yellow trim and black tennis shoes.

Meanwhile, the motorcycle on which he was traveling, white and of the BMW brand, with plates from the State of Mexico, was left lying on the lanes and was protected by other drivers who passed through the area.

At the site, police from the Secretary of Security detained José Carlos, 54, who was driving the car involved in the mishap and was later presented to the public ministry to determine responsibilities.

Due to these facts, agents of the Attorney General of the State of Mexico, based in San Cristóbal downtown in Ecatepec, opened an investigation folder.
