Twenty people died and 15 more were injured this Saturday in the accident of a bus that overturned on the Pan-American highway, in southwestern Colombia, police said.
“Unfortunately we have a balance of 20 people dead,” Captain Albertland Agudelo, of the traffic police of the department of Nariño, told the press.
The passenger bus, which covered the route between the port of Tumaco and the city of Cali, overturned on the road at dawn due to an apparent mechanical problem.
The other 15 occupants of the vehicle were injured, according to the official report.
Apparently the truck suffered a mechanical failure which caused the accident, this was what an officer commented.
